Replacement set of 3 electrodes for three-phase GALAN electrode boilers.
Designed primarily for older GALAN boilers with a steel (metal) flange, but can also be used with newer boilers equipped with a plastic threaded flange.

Suitable primarily for short boiler bodies, including the compact GALAN version with approximately 310 mm housing length from the flange to the top.
 
These replacement electrodes are designed for three-phase GALAN electrode boilers, especially older models equipped with a steel bottom flange.
The electrodes are supplied with a plastic insulating adapter/spacer already installed at the base. This element allows the electrode to be correctly positioned and electrically insulated when mounted in the classic GALAN steel flange.
This solution is especially useful for older boilers, where the original electrodes may already be worn or damaged.
Main application – steel flange
The electrodes are supplied ready for installation in boilers with a metal flange.
The plastic insulating adapter:
centers the electrode inside the flange opening
provides electrical insulation between the electrode and metal flange
helps reproduce the original mounting method used in older GALAN boilers
When installing the electrode, the sealing area should be protected with a suitable heat-resistant sealant, according to the condition and design of the existing flange.
 
For boilers with a plastic threaded flange
The plastic insulating adapter supplied on the electrode is intended for older boilers with a steel flange.
If your boiler has a plastic threaded flange, simply remove this adapter and screw the electrode directly into the flange. Use suitable thread sealant if required.
 
Short and long GALAN boiler bodies
These electrodes are intended primarily for the short GALAN boiler body, approximately:
310 mm – measured from the flange to the upper end of the boiler body
However, they can also be used in longer GALAN boiler housings if the flange construction and available internal space allow correct installation.
For comparison, the longer GALAN boiler body shown in our photos measures approximately:
410 mm – from the flange to the upper end

The exact working power depends not only on electrode length, but also on:
the exposed metal surface of the electrode
electrical conductivity of the heating water
water temperature
Power adjustment
The power of an electrode boiler depends directly on the surface area of the electrode in contact with water.
The electrodes are partially covered with heat-shrink tubing, which makes it possible to adjust the working surface.
If you need more power
Remove or shorten part of the heat-shrink tubing to expose more metal surface.
More exposed electrode surface = higher current = higher power.
If you need less power
Cover part of the electrode with additional heat-shrink tubing.
Smaller exposed electrode surface = lower current = lower power.
As an approximate reference, with water conductivity around 200 µS/cm:
1 cm of exposed electrode length ≈ 1 kW
This is only an approximate value because actual power depends on the conductivity of the water in your installation.
Important – check current after installation
After replacing the electrodes, the boiler current should always be checked during the first start-up.
If the current is too low:
expose a larger part of the electrode
If the current is too high:
reduce the exposed surface using additional heat-shrink tubing
For the most reliable measurement, check the current when the heating water reaches approximately 65–70°C.

Because GALAN produced several flange and housing versions over the years, we strongly recommend comparing the dimensions and mounting arrangement with the photos before ordering.

Important notice
This product is a replacement spare part only.
It is not a complete boiler.
Installation must be carried out with the boiler completely disconnected from the electrical supply.
Electrical and mechanical installation should be performed by a qualified person.
